Equality New Mexico

Equality New Mexico is New Mexico's statewide LGBT advocacy and civil rights organization based in Albuquerque, dedicated to advancing equity and justice for LGBTQ communities across the state. Since 1993, EQNM has worked strategically to transform hearts, minds, and policies through comprehensive advocacy, education, and community empowerment initiatives. The organization employs a multifaceted approach to create lasting change: educating the public to shift perspectives on LGBTQ issues, advocating directly for those facing discrimination and unfair treatment, empowering individuals and communities to build their own power and self-determination, and convening diverse stakeholders to achieve collective impact. Equality New Mexico provides training and guest speaker services to organizations seeking to deepen their understanding of LGBTQ issues and create more inclusive environments. The organization actively engages in legislative advocacy, monitoring and endorsing policies that protect and advance LGBTQ rights.
