GLMA: Health Professionals Advancing LGBTQ Equality is the world's largest and oldest association of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer healthcare professionals, headquartered in Washington, DC. Since its founding in 1981 as the American Association of Physicians for Human Rights, GLMA has evolved into a comprehensive multidisciplinary organization representing physicians, nurses, advanced practice nurses, physician assistants, researchers, behavioral health specialists, and health profession students across the United States and internationally.
