Jackson Pride Center

Jackson Pride Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a safe, healthy, and equitable world for LGBTQ+ people and their allies throughout Jackson, MI and the surrounding community. Since its founding in 2017, the organization has worked to bridge critical gaps in advocacy while strengthening the local community through comprehensive educational programming and meaningful interpersonal connections.

The center offers a diverse range of advocacy, educational, and social events designed to meet the needs of LGBTQ+ individuals at every stage of their journey. These programs include monthly trans support meetups, trans clothing exchanges featuring gender-affirming apparel and accessories, and creative outlets such as the Writer's Room—a safe space for young people ages 13-19 to develop their craft alongside queer teaching artists. The organization also facilitates community partnerships and sponsorships throughout Jackson, creating economic opportunities while strengthening local business relationships.
