LGBTQ Center of the Cape Fear Coast

The LGBTQ Center of the Cape Fear Coast is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving the LGBTQ+ community and allies throughout southeastern North Carolina from its base in Wilmington, NC. The organization provides comprehensive programming, advocacy, and outreach designed to meet the diverse needs of LGBTQ individuals across all life stages. The Center operates over a dozen specialized programs including Safe Zone training for organizations seeking to improve cultural competency, the Wilmington Pride Youth Group for ages 12-18, and Breaking the Binary, a dedicated support group for transgender and gender-nonconforming individuals. Beyond support groups, the Center connects isolated LGBTQ elders with community resources and provides counseling support to parents of young queer individuals seeking guidance and acceptance. The Center partners with Silver Pride Circle to enhance quality of life for LGBTQ persons over 50 through social events, educational programming, and community service initiatives.
