Louisville Youth Group

Louisville Youth Group provides comprehensive programming and support services for LGBTQIA+ and QTBIPoC youth throughout the Louisville, Kentucky community and greater Kentuckiana region. As the primary nonprofit organization dedicated to serving gender and sexuality diverse young adults, LYG offers a brave, affirming space where youth can develop their identities, build essential leadership skills, and gain the tools necessary to thrive both personally and as agents of positive change in their communities.

The organization delivers services through multiple channels including primary weekly programming, targeted leadership development opportunities, strategic community partnerships, and specialized retreats. LYG extends its reach through direct outreach to local school systems, healthcare agencies, and other organizations providing education and care to LGBTQIA+ youth and young adults. Beyond standard programming, Louisville Youth Group annually hosts signature events including a Pasta Dinner and Talent Show, youth prom, a Youth Leadership Retreat, and a New Year's Eve Lock-in celebration. The organization actively participates in Kentuckiana's Pride Month celebrations and visibility opportunities throughout the year.

Established in the late 1980s by local community members and PFLAG, Louisville Youth Group has served thousands of young people since its founding. The organization continues to expand its capacity and services to meet growing community demand, developing new programs and investing in additional resources to properly serve the youth of Louisville and surrounding areas.
