The Lower Columbia Q Center is a comprehensive 501(c)(3) non-profit resource center serving the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and allies throughout the lower Columbia region of Oregon and Washington. Based in Astoria, OR, the organization has been providing essential support services since 2015, offering a wide range of programs designed to meet the diverse needs of LGBTQ+ individuals and their communities. The center provides multiple support services including peer-support groups, community partner support groups, and educational workshops tailored to the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. Beyond traditional counseling and community building, the Lower Columbia Q Center offers practical assistance through free gender-affirming clothing, hygiene products, and personal health items. The organization also provides gender-affirming financial support, including scholarships for youth and adults, as well as emergency financial aid. Educational opportunities are a cornerstone of their mission, with monthly community workshops, organizational training, book clubs, and family storytime events.
