North Shore Alliance of GLBTQ Youth (NAGLY) serves Salem, MA and the surrounding North Shore community by providing comprehensive support and educational programming for LGBTQIA+ youth ages 11-23. The organization offers diverse group-based activities designed to help young people explore their identities, build self-awareness, and develop essential life skills in a safe, affirming environment. NAGLY's programming includes peer-led discussion groups, creative expression workshops through The SCENE drama program, Queer Joy workshops focusing on arts and identity exploration, and gender-affirming health resources. The organization facilitates community service opportunities that foster leadership development and meaningful peer connections while promoting respect for self and others. NAGLY maintains a youth-only Discord server with monitored access during extended hours, providing additional community connection points. All activities are led by trained peer leaders and adult advisors who are mandated reporters and confidentiality advocates. The organization emphasizes inclusive access, welcoming youth of all sexual orientations, gender identities, ethnicities, cultural backgrounds, classes, and abilities.
