Outright Vermont

Outright Vermont is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering LGBTQ+ youth through comprehensive youth leadership and community support programs. Based in Burlington, VT, Outright Vermont operates across the state with three core service areas: Youth Leadership programs that teach and develop emerging change-makers, Youth and Family Support services that foster belonging and connection, and Schools and Communities initiatives that strengthen educational environments and build liberation-focused communities. Since 1989, the organization has served nearly 900 youth annually through direct programming, with 105 Gender and Sexuality Alliances active in schools statewide and 17 schools trained in creating affirming environments. Outright Vermont's approach centers on youth-adult partnerships that create mutual opportunities for growth, learning, and skill development. The organization operates from an anti-oppression framework, actively creating intentional, safe, and vibrant queer space in everything it does. With 632 youth leaders engaged in ongoing programming, 830 hours of youth group access, and 175 hours of adult group access annually, Outright Vermont demonstrates measurable impact in the Burlington community and throughout Vermont. The organization welcomes volunteers, donors, and allies to support its mission of ensuring all queer youth have access to resources needed to live safe, healthy, and authentic lives.
