PFLAG Atlanta

PFLAG Atlanta provides comprehensive support, education, and advocacy services for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals, along with their families, friends, and allies throughout the Atlanta, GA community. As the local chapter of PFLAG National, the organization operates three facilitated monthly support groups designed to create safe spaces for dialogue about sexual orientation and gender identity. These support groups serve diverse populations including parents of transgender children, transgender teens and allies, and adult members of the LGBTQ community seeking connection and mutual understanding.

Beyond direct support services, PFLAG Atlanta actively educates the public through its Speakers Bureau, bringing informed perspectives to schools, organizations, and community gatherings. The organization participates in and sponsors community events, including prominent involvement in Atlanta Pride, positioning itself as a visible advocate for LGBTQ acceptance and visibility. Through strategic partnerships with national and local organizations, PFLAG Atlanta works to secure equal rights and protections for the LGBTQ community, addressing systemic barriers and discrimination.
