PFLAG Bellevue Eastside

PFLAG Bellevue Eastside provides comprehensive support, education, and advocacy services for the LGBTQ community and their families throughout the Bellevue and East King County region. As a chapter of PFLAG National, the nation's oldest LGBTQ advocacy organization, we deliver three core services designed to create meaningful change and foster equality. Our support programs offer a welcoming environment for LGBTQ individuals, family members, and allies at any stage of their journey, with monthly meetings held in Bellevue and additional hybrid meeting options to maximize accessibility. We provide educational resources and community engagement to help individuals and organizations understand the unique challenges facing the LGBTQ community. Our advocacy efforts focus on changing attitudes and creating policies that achieve full equality, including public comment at city council meetings, corporate partnership development, and legislative support. Since our founding in 1996, PFLAG Bellevue Eastside has maintained an impressive track record of community impact. We administer a scholarship program that has awarded over $60,000 to young changemakers across our service area, which includes Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland, Issaquah, Mercer Island, Sammamish, Bothell, Woodinville, Duvall, Snoqualmie, and Carnation. Our chapter is known for innovative community engagement, including our iconic Closet Float at parades and widely distributed "I'm Loved by PFLAG" stickers. We remain committed to supporting our community through any challenge, having successfully transitioned to hybrid meeting formats to ensure continuous connection and support.
