As one of the oldest chapters in the national PFLAG network with four decades of community service, PFLAG Portland delivers multiple support formats including in-person support circles, online support circles through PFLAG Connects, and specialized programming addressing the unique needs of transgender Portlanders. The organization offers monthly in-person chapter meetings featuring both general support circles and dedicated transgender support circles, alongside regularly scheduled online meetings accessible to anyone in the region. Beyond direct support services, PFLAG Portland actively engages in advocacy and policy work, partnering with LGBTQ student organizations and community groups to advance inclusive policies and laws. The chapter maintains satellite locations and expanded programming throughout the Portland suburbs, including East County and Washington County chapters, ensuring accessible services for families and individuals across the greater Tigard area.
