PFLAG Topeka

PFLAG Topeka provides comprehensive support, education, and advocacy services for LGBTQIA+ persons, their families, and friends throughout the Topeka, Kansas community. As a dedicated chapter of the national PFLAG organization, we offer multiple pathways for individuals to connect, learn, and grow together. Our services include regular community events and social gatherings designed to foster meaningful connections and provide peer support in a welcoming environment. We maintain curated resources covering critical areas including legal information, medical resources, support groups, and advocacy opportunities—all available through our extensive network and direct mail services to homes across Kansas. PFLAG Topeka is particularly committed to educational advancement, administering annual scholarships worth $1,000 each to LGBTQ+ students and straight allies pursuing post-secondary education. Since 2012, we have awarded over twenty scholarships to high school graduating seniors and current college freshmen, demonstrating our investment in the next generation's success. Our monthly in-person meetings provide direct access to community support and resources, held consistently on the second Sunday of each month. We also connect members with local specialized services including group therapy options, trans-affirming medical providers, youth groups, and open and affirming faith communities throughout the Topeka area. Whether you're seeking personal support, educational resources, or ways to advocate for LGBTQIA+ rights, PFLAG Topeka serves as a bridge connecting individuals with the information, community, and assistance they need.
