The Philadelphia LGBTQ Bar Association is a professional organization dedicated to advancing the legal interests and career development of LGBTQ attorneys, law students, and legal professionals throughout the Philadelphia metropolitan area. Serving the Philadelphia, PA community since 1986, the organization works to improve access to qualified LGBTQ legal representation while creating meaningful business and employment opportunities for its diverse membership. The Association actively advocates for the civil and human rights of the LGBTQ community through strategic legal initiatives, including the preparation and filing of amicus curiae briefs in landmark cases addressing parental rights, marriage equality, and broader equality protections. The Philadelphia LGBTQ Bar Association fosters professional connections and advancement through committee participation, networking events, and the prestigious Lavender Law Career Fair—an annual event that attracts over 175 employers and hundreds of law students seeking LGBTQ-inclusive workplaces.
