Project Rainbow

Project Rainbow is a Salt Lake City, UT-based 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to creating visible demonstrations of community support for LGBTQ+ individuals across Utah. Since its founding in 2018, Project Rainbow has developed comprehensive campaigns that amplify LGBTQ visibility through strategic flag-staking initiatives timed to key moments of queer celebration and awareness. The organization orchestrates inclusive campaigns throughout the year, with flagship efforts including Pride flag campaigns, Trans Awareness campaigns, and observances of other significant events that matter to the LGBTQ community. Project Rainbow distributes thousands of flags to homes and businesses across every corner of Utah, from St. George to Logan, creating a powerful visual representation of acceptance and solidarity. Beyond flag distribution, Project Rainbow operates the Community Fund, a grants program that has awarded over $300,000 to support LGBTQ-focused projects and events throughout the state. The organization partners strategically with local businesses, schools, and community organizations to maximize impact and reach. Project Rainbow's team includes passionate board members providing strategic direction, an Executive Director managing day-to-day operations, an Operations Coordinator handling campaign logistics, and dedicated volunteers who represent the heart of the organization's community engagement efforts.
