Rainbow Center Tacoma

Rainbow Center Tacoma is a comprehensive resource hub dedicated to serving the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, two-spirit, and allied (LGBTQ2SA) community through education, advocacy, and celebration. Operating with daily open hours in Tacoma, WA, Rainbow Center provides essential services and materials to community members, including a lending library, computer and Wi-Fi access, advocacy services, and educational resources. The organization's Education Program offers high-quality workshops and training opportunities designed for individuals, businesses, and groups seeking to deepen their understanding and awareness of the LGBTQ2S community. These professional development opportunities help organizations learn how to effectively engage, support, and serve LGBTQ2S populations. Beyond direct services, Rainbow Center actively celebrates and honors the LGBTQ2S community through year-round social programs and events. The organization is particularly proud to host two major regional celebrations: Tacoma Pride and the annual Black & White Gayla, both of which draw significant participation from the Pierce County area. With over 20 years of established presence in South Puget Sound, Rainbow Center demonstrates measurable community impact, providing direct services to approximately 1,000 individuals annually while welcoming nearly 4,000 visits to its physical location.
