Stonewall Columbus is a comprehensive community center dedicated to serving the LGBTQ+ population in Columbus, OH and Central Ohio through a diverse array of advocacy, support, and community-building programs. Founded in 1981, the organization provides critical services including counseling, emergency assistance through the CARES program, support groups, and referrals for HIV/STI testing and affirming healthcare. The organization operates multiple program pillars designed to address the full spectrum of community needs: Economic Empowerment offers job training, resume workshops, and networking events to help LGBTQ+ individuals achieve financial stability and career success; Family Expansion provides adoption and surrogacy resources, parenting workshops, and family support groups for those building families in all their diverse forms; and Identity Enrichment celebrates intersectional identities through cultural, educational, and social activities. Stonewall Columbus welcomes over 9,000 visitors annually to its community center and connects nearly 30,000 people to services through walk-ins, phone calls, emails, and website interactions. The organization hosts the annual Columbus Pride Festival, which attracts over 750,000 visitors to the region, and produces Lavender Listings featuring LGBTQ-friendly local businesses. Monthly programming includes coming out support, men's and women's support groups, addiction recovery groups, ballroom dance, health and wellness programs, book clubs, and networking opportunities. With 500 volunteers and partnerships with numerous local organizations, Stonewall Columbus serves as a vital hub providing access to information and resources that address the evolving needs of the LGBTQ+ community in Columbus, Ohio.
